Story line - Brandi Hulse is a normal 17 year old girl, until she finds out from her single mother one day that her long lost fraternal twin Rufus was found dead with a large wound on his back and a shot to his head. She and her mother travel to Charlotte, North Carolina where Rufus had grown up. At the funeral they meet everyone Rufus had known and grown up with. With every person Brandi meets her vision flickers with a memory -a time, place, and event from Rufus's memory. It frightens but intrigues her, and she asks her mom if they can stay a couple more days in Charlotte for a couple more days. Brandie is determined to know her brother from his memories surfacing in her mind, and she's even more determined to figure out his murderer. Characters - Brandi Noel Hulse - A 17 year old girl living in San Antonio, Texas. She lives with her single mom and she never met her father, who died in a car accident. She doesn't have any friends except for her best friend Allie Stone, who understands her since she lost her father as well. She's very sarcastic and reserved and is known for lying about pretty much everything. She's confused by why she's here and how she feels like have of her is blacked out, except at night when she hugs her pillow really tight as if she's holding onto someone -and that half of her is back. Rufus Carter Smith (Hulse) – A 17 year old boy living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lives with a foster family, doesn't known anything about his real family. He has lots of friends, and his best friend is Tyler Phillips. He's very open and friendly and is known for always wanting to help. Although he seems cheerful and happy on the inside, Rufus lives a double life who drinks alcohol with some kids at school. He often wakes up with his head vibrating with pain, and he can forget the feeling of someone not there. Tyler Anthony Phillips – A 17 year old boy living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lives with his parents and three younger siblings. Is very popular at his school and is best friends with Rufus Smith. He's very calm and easy-going, but likes to cause trouble and play pranks often. He's one of the top wrestlers at his school and doesn't believe in drugs or alcohol, but doesn't get onto Rufus for drinking. He enjoys hanging out with Rufus and their gang of friends and being away from his huge family. Allison (Allie) Taylor Stone – A 16 year old girl living in San Antonio, Texas. Lives with her single mother and little brother, her father died from lung cancer. She doesn't have a lot of friends, but those who are her friends she keeps close and is always there for them. Her best friend is Brandi Hulse. She's very kind and affectionate, and is almost like a mother to most people. She never gives up on a friend and will always stand up for them. She is very religious and believes everything is in God's plan, and that her father died because God needed him. Very understanding, can always make someone laugh. I took the litmus test, and I got -16.

sounds great the characters seem like people I could connect with which is the main thing the names are good and unique. Its not mary-sue which is good. I would read it keep it up....

Your main character sounds the most intriguing, with such a major character flaw as lying. I believe all characters should have flaws. Allison should be more popular if she's so kind and funny, and that will also create some conflict in school (i.e. no one can hate Alli, so they put up with Brandi for her sake, but behind Allison's back they're always mean to her or something), and add more of a background to Brandi. Is Tyler Brandi's love interest? Make sure to add more depth to him, like his reaction to Brandi's lying - like he knows she lying but he only chides her for it or something. Sounds like a good storyline to me. :)

The characters are great ages are a little annoying. When i read a book where everyone is the same age is say 17 its all to much. Good that Allison is younger maybe make Tyler 18? Just a thought relates to more people that way too
