IM SO BORED WITH MY LIFE WHAT SHOULD I DO?
ok so in october of 2009 i fucked up, got sent to a military school. okay, im over it, im graduating there. But as if life couldnt get any worse in february of 2010 my mom moved to Charlotte, north carolina while i was still in military school, so it turns out all the friends that i left back home to go to military school... im probably never seeing them again. So now it's summer and im in NC bored out of my mind with nothing to do, the only friends i have are the ones in my military school, and i dont want to keep in touch with my friends in my old home considering that i dont live with them probably wont be visiting them, so what the hell is the point. So im stuck in this house on the computer, playing video games, eating, sitting on my ass, and im starting to realize that im becoming a loser, so i need to do something idk, something please someone tell me what i could do???

heey! i live in charlotte north carolina too! and it suckss. its hell. i wish i could move.....!! but i can't. idk how old you are but theres places like SNS but if you'ree older that would be gay. uhmm, theres a movie theater at stonecrest, and tons of other things.. theres a lot of beaches only a few hours away you could probably go to like hilton head, wild dunes, myrtle beach. WELL ANYWAYS, i think its cool we both live in charlotte. i live in ballantyne well kinda i live right nexxt to it. you could always try to meet people who live in your neighborhood! dude what the fuck!?? get a facebook!!!! there really pointless but entertaining and you could talk to your old friends on it and possible meet new? i don't knowww! i live in charlotte NC i think its okay but nothin really to do.

Well depending on how old you are you can always go to a mall. I know it's kinda dumb but I paint or write when I get too bored. I also go on runs, bike rides, and abs exercises. You could join a summer sports camp. Volunteer somewhere.( like a zoo or animal place) I like to read,go to a pool or beach, you could hang out at your library. You need to be active and take a walk, if you have a pet, walk it through the woods. When I was little I used to live in NC and me and my brother would go in the woods(my backyard) all the time. I would still if i had woods. haha. So try some of that and if it doesn't work, you can always chat with random people on chatroulette or a chat room:P haha, hope i helped:)

University of North Carolina requires a year of Advanced Math...?
I'm looking at CollegeBoard's profile of UNC Charlotte, and the required math courses are: Algebra I Algebra II Geometry an Advanced Math. Would an Advanced Math be something such as Calculus, or would it be just as acceptable to take the fourth year of math in something like Discrete Math? If you are enrolled at UNC, what math classes did you take in high school? Thanks.

I don't go to UNC, but my suggestions is to contact them and ask. Every admissions webpage always has a "contact us" link for asking questions. If I had to give a direct answer, I don't know what is meant by "Discrete Math" - that sounds like a school system specific class. Off the top of my head, pre-calc, calc, or AP Statistics are the ones I would include in the advanced math category.

I live with my girlfriend in Charlotte. We moved here in January of this year and money is getting tight. We live in our own apartment and pay everything on our own. I just got a job and she still doesn't. Problem is I'll be only working 12 hours a week and make minimum wage. She might get a job at my store and would be earning the same. Not enough to pay rent and other bills. She's going to start school next month which means even less income. So we're looking into government assistance. Any ideas? Please help. Thank you so much!

Ok im 20 years old..originally from West Palm Beach,FL..i just recently came up to charlotte,nc im currently staying with my dad..im about to start school me & my dad don't get along like that so my question is.. i do not have my license..i called the dmv & asked them could i purchase a car from a private dealer & get the title in my name..until i take my test to get my license or w/e..they told me no i must have a north carolina license or someone you know with a north carolina license in order to do that.. so my question is my gf is in Florida currently..she's attends college there so my question is..is there a way when i purchase the vehicle & get the title somehow sent down there in her name or me sign it for her or anything like that like where the title will be in her name..since nobody else doesn't want to help & she's the only one i trust right now..until i get on my feet a bit & go take the test which will be in another month or so ?

Im am a student in London and want to study in the USA next year however i dont know which universities to choose from. My choice is: US California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo, US California State University Long Beach, US Grand Valley State University , US Rhode Island School of Design, US San Francisco State University , US SUNY New Paltz , US University of Missouri Kansas City, US University of North Carolina Charlotte, US Wentworth Institute of Technology , I like city life and want to go somewhere that is known to be a real good, fun city, i am studying computer science. An ideal city wold be New York and i realize that one of the universities listed above is in New York however SUNY is not is an ideal area (such as Manhattan). Can anybody recommend the best university to go to?

Computer Science is a commodity degree these days, so just pick one You can't go wrong in California, xcept for the exenses. North Carolina is pleasant

Go to UNC-Charlotte. Their computer science program isn't perhaps the most prestigiuous but it's still pretty good. The university itself has a solid national reputation. Charlotte, believe it or not, is a good fun city of about 500,000 people, is a major banking city, and the largest city in NC. They have a small but vivid nightlife scene and the weather should be pleasant year-round (warm-hot but not unbearably so in the summers and a bit of snow in the winter). They have 2 major professional teams (Carolina Panthers - NFL, and the Carolina Bobcats - NBA) and most big concert tours that visit the Southeast US stop at Charlotte. Jobwise, Charlotte has plenty of computer science jobs and there's even more (a lot more) just a couple hours' drive away at RTP (Research Triangle Park, Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill). And versus some of the other schools you're looking at, it's a lot less traveling to back to London when you want to go back and visit. Hope this helps.

It's for a school project and I'm going to be marketing it in order to sell lots of copies so that I can donate the money to Vh1 Save the Music Foundation. So I need a really good name! (I'm not very creative...) ideas: -- I want to try to include the word/phrase "Charlotte," "Carolina," or "North Carolina." -- I want the name to appeal to others my age (high school age). -- Also, Charlotte is known as the Queen City, which could work into the title, no? -- Something about the title should ideally have the word "music" or "compilation" or "mix" - something like that so it's obvious that it is a mix CD. -- Also, this is for charity - as stated before. Vh1 Saves the Music donates instruments to public schools. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hello all. I'm a sophmore at my local community college in Michigan. I'm majoring in business-finance and struggling to figure out rather to stay in state or transfer out of state to finish school. My current GPA is a 3.3, and I still have the summer semester, fall and winter to get it up. I plan on applying for the summer semester of next year wherever I go. Here's my dillema. I'm looking at the following schools: University of Michigan-Dearborn, University of Illinois-Chicago, Howard University, and University of North Carolina-Charlotte. The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor is a reach school because they don't transfer most of the business credits from community colleges. What I'm wondering is what school provides the most internships and networking potential even in college. I want the experience before graduating, so there's less of a waiting period to find an actual career. Mind you, I'll probably be 26 when I finally graduate.Also what location is more economically progressive.

If these are the schools you wish to attend why not contact them directly and speak to someone in the appropriate dept to find out what sorts of Co-operative opportunities are available and what the requirements are. Keep working on trying to get your GPA up. Try networking with local businesses or any company you see yourself working in and you may make some inroads there. They may offer you a work placement opportunity and or schollarship. It certainly is something worth looking into as you may have a difficult time finding immediately available opportunities directly at the colleges since you will be competing directly wtih others who may have a higher GPA. But don't get discouraged, just keep working hard and as I mentioned getting a paper and pen and calling the schools directly and jotting down key points will help you make a better decision. Ok I'm 20 I live in suffolk Virginia, just moved in with some friends a few months ago. my girlfriend lives in Gates North Carolina thats where I moved from, I lived there for about 8 years. anyway me and my girlfriend has desided on two cities we want to move to. Charlotte North Carolina or Dover Deleware, Charlotte North Carolina has 2 big named colleges were if we get a degree at one of them we are sure to get a good paying job. the colleges are University of North Carolina in Charlotte, and Johnson and Wells university. almost a no brainer right; however, Dover Deleware has Deleware Tech a college that is alot cheaper then the others teaches what we need also my girlfriend has friends and family less then a hour away. tuff choice family or a good paying job, I told her that we can alway move to delewar after we finish school, because she has been called by both colleges in charlotte for a interveiw. I'm asking which one do you think will be a better move. o my girlfriend is 18 and she graduates highschool June 13th I already have a year and a half of college done but they won't transfer to a large university so I'll have to start over again if I go to charlotte.

Charlotte North Carolina or Dover Deleware, Charlotte North Carolina has 2 big named colleges were if we get a degree at one of them we are sure to get a good paying job. the colleges are University of North Carolina in Charlotte, and Johnson and Wells university. almost a no brainer right; however, Dover Deleware has Deleware Tech a college that is alot cheaper then the others teaches what we need also my girlfriend has friends and family less then a hour away. tuff choice family or a good paying job, I told her that we can alway move to delewar after we finish school, because she has been called by both colleges in charlotte for a interveiw. I'm asking which one do you think will be a better move. o my girlfriend is 18 and she graduates highschool June 13th I already have a year and a half of college done but they won't transfer to a large university so I'll have to start over again if I go to charlotte.

where can i buy a black bokken or any other wooden sword for kendo in charlotte north carolina?
where can i buy a black bokken or any other wooden sword for kendo in charlotte north carolina?
are there any store's that sell them that i can walk into and buy them from this is for real kendo actual lessions real pratice and sparring just thought you should know. thanks in advance for any help i have to be able to walk in and purchase it because im not old enough to own a credit card :(

kendo uses a shinai not a bokken and a black one is not going to be easy to find,

Well the internet is one of the only places you can get traditional, and traditionally made bokkens, but I know I went to F.Y.E (For your entertainment) for some martial arts movies and I noticed that in their anime/manga section of the store they have some anime replica swords from like the graphic novels. Not saying that these are traditional bokkens but it depends what you are using them for, if you're practising Iaido then you would want to get a real traditional bokken but if you just want one to duel with your friend in the backyard, then maybe you can go to F.Y.E and get one of theirs.

I am planning on moving to Charlotte, North Carolina soon...what sides of the city are better to live in?
I've been searching for places to live, and just need advice on what sides of town are better, i.e. N, S, E, W, SE, etc. I will be renting.

This really depends what you are looking for. North Charlotte is good, but has a lot of college kids. South Charlotte is the nicest area, but the traffic is terrible. West Charlotte is dangerous. East Charlotte is more rural, once you go about 10 miles out. Downtown Charlotte can be a nice place to live, but you would need to do a little bit of research as far as which part. There are some really nice new condos in that area. I've lived all over Charlotte, and I felt the safest in South Charlotte. Check out this link. I lived at Bexley Crossing at Providence. It's a nice area, and about a 5 min drive to anywhere you'd want to go! http://www.weinsteinproperties.com/properties/find-an-apt/Charlotte Now I live in the Matthews area, which is 30 East of downtown, and I love it! Huntersville which is North of North Charlotte is nice too. Hope this helps! :)
